Black Hole Entertainment was founded in 2001 by Hollywood producer Andrew G. Vajna and seven game-enthusiasts to create high quality video games. Original team members are all professional programmers and designers, but some of them also contribute their professional talents in various fields such as: physics, mathematics, economics and zoology.
Their first title Armies of Exigo was published by Electronic Arts at the end of 2004. Today, the Budapest-based studio is home to over 40 developers: artists, designers and engineers. The team has partnered with NAMCO BANDAI Games America and began developing Warhammer®: Mark of Chaos™, a revolutionary real-time strategy game set in the renowned Warhammer world. The game was published at the end of 2006 for the PC.
Black Hole Entertainment later began developing Warhammer®: Battle March for Xbox 360 and PC, based on the 2006 PC title Warhammer: Mark of Chaos™. This expansion was built upon the original game with new units added for each army, as well as an original campaign and new online modes. Warhammer®: Battle March was released in the late summer of 2008.
Black Hole Entertainment is currently working on unannounced titles.
Black Hole Entertainment is a subsidiary of Cinergi Interactive LLC.
